SOLIDAR, in partnership with the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS), has launched its Social Rights Monitor 2020. This second edition of the publication sheds light on the state of social rights in 17 European countries, both EU and non-EU Member States. 2020-02-05 · According to Laura Bonfils, Social Policy coordinator at SOLIDAR, in the light of the establishment of the EPSR, “there has been a positive evolution of the Semester”. However, what we have seen so far, “is not enough”. “The [EC] recommendations usually focus on the economic dimension”, she adds. The European Semester should be based on the principles of partnership and multilevel governance modelled on the partnership agreements existing in cohesion policy, as this bottom-up approach will contribute to more clarity, legitimacy and ownership at implementing level.

Solidar semester

With over 60 member organisations based in 29 countries (24 of which are EU countries), member organisations are national CSOs in Europe, as well as some non-EU and EU-wide organisations, working in one or more of our fields of activity. Integrating the European Pillar of Social Rights and the SDGs in the European Semester On 13 th November 2019, SOLIDAR hosted an event at the European Parliament to present their new report, The Social Rights Monitor , which is composed of research from 16 countries in Europe based on the principles of the European Pillar of Social Rights.
